Not gonna do brown two tone on the Riviera. Too many poop jokes that can be made. Instead, SILVER! I was thinking of a two-tone like this since the silver on the sides would hide the dents and pockmarks scattered on the doors and quarter panels.

Kinja'd!!!

Benjamin J Rolland is suggesting I do the opposite.

What think you, Oppo?

Black on top.

Black on top, silver on bottom. The darker color should cause the eyes to drift down and focus more on the brighter silver paint. It sorta causes a visual trick that makes your car look lower.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Did your eyes focus more on the upper or lower half of those two Rivieras?

Semi-related: two-tone Miata and random T30 Super Heavy Tank prototype.

That’s certainly an interesting choice.

Dark purple on top, silver on the sides.

Any of the themes here is better than the poop-on-sand you proposed earlier.

So two-tones really work best if you don’t follow panel gaps, but do your own cutoff lines. And the black on the side fits this car much better than black on top and silver side.

I did do a few quick photoshops to try this out, but I can’t seem to post any images that are not already online due to work firewall rules.

EDIT: Did find these on CarDomain though:

I got a bit crazy with Photoshop. I think the silver/black actually works quite well.

Funny, I used the same car. Different angle, but definetly the same car from the same photoshoot.

My attempts had the color flow into the bumper as well, and my color cutoff was a bit lower in the body. I think having the line be where you set it works better than much lower on the body, but i kind of liked it going on to the bumper.

I like that bottom one, only more goldish instead of yellowish.
